Contrary to statement made by President Muhammadu Buhari, during the 70th United Nation General Assembly conference in USA, where he made it clear that he will be the minister of petroleum for period of some time, but the Special Adviser to the presidency on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina, has made it clear that he will not officially occupy the position of Petroleum Minister.
Mr Femi Adesina, says that the president will only supervise the sector and that he is fully capable of doing so.
Mr president has already made it clear that he will took over the affairs of the petroleum sector in order to get rid of corruption, but it seems that President Buhari, has change his mind in order to follow the 1999 constitution of Nigeria, which says that minister must be appointed in every state of the country.
On September 30th, President Buhari submitted a ministerial nominees list to the senate upper house, which was discuss during the senate plenary session on October 6th, but the screening exercise for the nominated minister appointee will hold tomorrow.
Special Adviser to President Buhari, on Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina, took to social media to address the issue by saying that President Buhari will only supervise the petroleum ministry just as Obasanjo did during his tenure as Nigeria president.
President Buhari is not going to be designated as Minister but will supervise the Ministry…he has all it takes to supervise the ministry

#ministers People who have been nominated are qualified and are Nigerians. Talking of age, there is a saying that “age does not matter”.

#Ministers We must rather talk of the mental age rather than the chronological age. It is not the chronological age that matters….
