Few weeks ago, popular celebrity blogger and entrepreneur Linda Ikeji, announced the launch of her social networking platform ” Linda Ikeji Social ” or ” LIS ”, but reliable source close to the Linda Ikeji brand reported that Linda turn down $2m partnership investment for the social networking site.
According to report, the investors were said to have proposed to own a percentage of the new social networking site for the value of $2million after seeing how fast the site is catching on.
The investors further suggested that she should use the money in massive advertisement both online and offline for the new brand and for technical support but Linda turned it down.
However, Linda Ikeji Social ads are beginning to show in some major area in Lagos, while also we have seen the ads on urban lifestyle and music channel Hip TV for the past few days now.
Another close source to Linda also reveals that few years ago, she rejected multi-million naira investment into her Linda Ikeji Blog, which eventually paid off today as she continue Africa’s online media space.
Ever since the platform has launch few weeks ago,the platform has recorded over 150,000 sign-ups and its continued to grow steadily everyday.
According to Alexa ranking, which is Global Tech Monitoring website traffic statistics, indicate that Linda Ikeji is currently listed as one of the most visited sites in Nigeria; it has become a favorite among young people because it is currently the only social media network platform in Nigeria that rewards its users with mouth-watering weekly prizes including cash gifts.
