On June 7, 2017, friends, family, colleagues and people from all works of life filled up the Ebony Vault in Ikoyi gathered to honour the late actress Moji Olaiya.
According to what GYOnlineNG.COM, gathers reported that the body of late actress arrived the Muritala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos from Canada on Tuesday and has now been buried at the Ikoyi cemetery according to Islamic rites.
What we can see from the scene was that six men dressed in black kaftan carried the remains body of late actress which was wrapped in a white cloth and placed in a wooden see-through box.
On May, 18, 2017, the veteran actress Moji Olaiya died of cardiac arrest two months after she was delivered of a baby girl in Canada.
The remains body of the late actress was met by mourners who filled the hall to capacity and wailed as they saw her coffin arrive. Mourners struggled just to get a glimpse of the late actress, whom many described as humble.
The mourners present exclaimed Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un (We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return) as her body was brought in amidst tears.
Moji Olaiya’s 18-year-old daughter, Adunoluwa, was also consoled by family members, Nollywood actor, Muyiwa Ademola and other friends of her late mother.
