Award-winning Nollywood actress Toyin Aimakhu, has successfully rallied industry colleagues and well-meaning Nigerians to come to rescues of an undergraduate student of University of Lagos, Ahmed Mayowa Shukurat who is battling ovarian cancer.
According to the ” Alakada ” star Toyin reported says that she got wind of Mayowa’s plight after she was tagged on a post calling for funds for the 28-year-old.
Toyin swiftly sprung into action to visit the frail patient at LUTH on Monday, July 25 and has been at the forefront of the campaign for the $100,000 needed for treatment at Emory International Hospital Atlanta, United States.
Other Nigeria celebrities that has come to rescue for Mayowa’s cancer treatment are Genevieve Nnaji, Mercy Aigbe, Biodun Okeowo, Lami Phillips, Omoni Oboli, Ufuoma McDermott, Ruggedman, Seyi Shay, Sound Sultan and many more also rose to the occasion in donating and soliciting for funds.
