10. Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£50m – Crystal Palace to Manchester United, 2019) Flop
Wan-Bissaka joined Manchester United from Crystal Palace in 2019 for £50 million, making him the most expensive uncapped English player at the time. This was yet another dubious move by Manchester United.
For the youthful right-back, who at the time had made less than 50 first-team football appearances, it looked like a high price to pay. In his first season at Old Trafford, he received praise for his defensive play, making more tackles than any other player in the Premier League, but he also drew criticism for his alleged lack of offensive ability.
Wan-Bissaka struggled last season as United gave up 57 goals in their 38 league games, much like many of his colleagues. He is currently under pressure due to rumors that United is willing to sell him this summer in order to pay for more players.
