The duo of Nigeria’s leading online shopping mall Konga and Yudala has officially announced their merger, which will see both e-commerce companies become the biggest organized retail and e-commerce marketplace in Africa, will take effect from May 1 under the Konga brand name.

The merger between Konga and Yudala guarantees that an African an e-commerce platform big enough to compete with the likes of Amazon, Zappos, and Alibaba. The merger will allow both companies leverage their combined strengths. This will certainly broaden the scope of organized retail and e-commerce in Nigeria and deliver more value to customers and merchants.

The new Konga will have dual CEOs in the persons of Nick Imudia who will be in charge of online among others and Prince Nnamdi Ekeh who will be responsible for offline businesses.
