It’s no more news that top Nigerian artistes shun Headies Awards 2016, that was held yesterday in Lagos. The absent of several Nigerian artistes yesterday at Headies Awards, has cause mix-reaction among Nigerian music lovers and also downgrade the Headies awards ranting.
The Mavin Records crew were all absent at the awards show yesterday, but the likes of Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage and Korede Bello were all in Abidjan on Thursday for their show in the Ivorian capital.
The Mavin trio were all billed to performance at the Francophone part of West Africa, Côte d’Ivoire on the same night as the 2016 Headies is holding in Lagos.
For this year, Tiwa Savage was only artiste in the Mavin crew that was nominated for Headies Awards 2016 in the Best Collabo category, while her video for ‘Bad’ with Wizkid is also nominated for Best Music Video.
