9. Manchester City (86.9m)
The Manchester City Football Club, a Manchester-based team that plays in the Premier League, is well-known to all. Despite being founded in 1880, it didn’t start conducting business under its current name until April 16, 1894. Citizens, Sky Blues, and City are some of its nicknames.
Due to the club’s most recent two victories in 2017–2018 and 2018–2019, as well as the fact that it has overall won six Premier League titles, the number of supporters has been continuously rising in recent years. If you’re thinking of visiting Manchester, you should at the very least attend a match and check out the illustrious Etihad Stadium, which can hold over 55,000 spectators.
Shiekh Mansur‘s ownership of Manchester City has significantly altered the club’s fan base. After the takeover, the fan base grew significantly, and at one point, it was the most devoted club in England! It isn’t the most popular club in England in 2022, though.
Research on Man City and Man United was published by the Spanish media outlet Sport. It showed that Man City‘s fan base increased by 523% while rival Man United had a startling 19% decline.
