Veteran Nigerian rapper Remilekun Safaru, popularly known as Reminisce open ups on how COVID-19 pandemic is helped him abstinence from his marijuana smoking addiction habit of 18 years.
Ever since the Covid-19 stay at home lockdown has been declared by the federal and state government in Nigeria, on the 19th of March, Reminisce has abstinence himself from smoking and drinking habits.
In a recent chat with Motolani Alake of Pulse Nigeria, the favourite street king of Lamba speaks on how staying at home due to the novel coronavirus pandemic have given him the opportunity to stay together with his family in a more fatherhood responsibility.
Since March 19, 2020, when the COVID-19 lockdown hit the Safaru household, Reminisce hasn’t smoked. The past four months without smoking have been his longest spell of abstinence in 18 years. This also coincides with an 11-month spell away from alcohol – which he stopped in August 2019, after he returned from Hajj.
