US President Donald Trump had a phone conversation with Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari, and he declares support for Nigeria on its fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Lai Mohammed, disclosed this at the daily media briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja.
He said:
“President Muhammadu Buhari today had a phone conversation with President Donald Trump at the request of the American President.
“The conversation centred on Nigeria’s response to COVID-19 pandemic.”
Mr Lai Mohammed further says that Donald Trump promised to ventilators to Nigeria.
“President Trump assured that the United States stands in solidarity with Nigeria in this difficult time and promised to send ventilators to support the country in its fight against the pandemic.
As at the time of writing this report, United State of American has recorded over 1 Million confirmed cases of novel coronavirus with 56,876 deaths, while Nigeria on the other angle has recorded 1337 confirmed cases of Coronavirus with 40 deaths since the outbreak in the country.
