Following the report that Juventus‘s defender Daniele Rugani has being tested positive for Coronavirus on Wednesday, Portuguese international and former Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told his current club Juventus FC that he won’t return to the club from Portugal until proper measure has put in place in Italy.
According to the report, Cristiano Ronaldo‘s doctor told him to take precautionary measures to avoid contracting the virus, and he has been placed on quarantine in his hometown Madeira in Portugal, in an attempt to prevent it spreading.
Ronaldo was pictured hugging and shaking his teammates after the club’s win over Inter Milan last weekend, so he is under self-quarantine like other Juve players.
Juventus is located in Turin, one of the worst Coronavirus hit places in Italy, so Ronaldo, who traveled to Madeira to be with his mum who recently suffered a heart attack, has been advised to stay back in Portugal.
Italy has banned all sporting activities from happening in the country until the virus is put on shutdown, so Juventus will not be playing any matches anytime soon.
