After days of waiting for the collation results of the Saturday’s Nigeria Presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari re-elected as Nigeria President, after the final collation results in Abuja early hours of today.
The Chairman of INEC, Prof Yakubu Mahmood declares President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has the winner of the February 23 Presidential election, after polling 15,191,847 votes in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (winning in 19 of the states, after the result of Rivers was appended). His closest rival, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party scored 11,262,978 votes, winning 17 states and Abuja.
