Lagos State governor Akinwunmi Ambode has publicly finally spoken for the first time since the outcome of Lagos APC Primaries yesterday, whereby he was defeated by Babajide Sanwo-Olu with a wide margin of over 850,000 votes in an election conducted at over hundred of wards across the state.
The second World Press Conference in 3-days by Gov Ambode today, had him congratulating Babajide Sanwo-Olu and promised to work with him to move the state forward and also thanked the Lagosians and party members.
The outcome of the highly controversial APC primaries in Lagos State sees that Sanwo-Olu polled votes of 970,851 ahead of the incumbent governor Ambode who had 72,901 votes.
Sanwo-Olu was highly backed by influential party leaders in the state, including Bola Tinubu, a former governor of the state.
