Here’s What Tinubu Has to Say On Why He Supported Sanwo-Olu As the Next Governor Of Lagos State

The National Leader of the All Progresivecongress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has finally revealed why he supported the candidacy of Babajide Sanwo-Olu ahead of the incumbent governor Akinwunmi Ambode for gubernatorial primaries in Lagos state.

The highly respected Nigerian politician Bola Tinubu said that his support for Sanwo-Olu ahead of Ambode is not personal, but what the party members want. He made this revelation while speaking with newsmen that the decision is beyond him as a person, but what the people wants.

“This is not personal. It is beyond me as a person,” he says.

However, the outcome of the gubernatorial primaries in the state sees that Sanwo-Olu defeated Ambode with over 800,000, and the Chairman of APC Lagos Chapter has declared him as the winner, despite the cancellation and postponement of the election by the national working committee of the party.
