About few days ago, billionaires son Paddy Adenuga, published an article online whereby he recount his experience on how he nearly bought Chevron Netherlands at year 29 in 2014, without any effort from his billionaires father and Nigerians can’t stop talking about that laudable move he made at that age.
Popular Nigerian TV personality and Vlogger Shade Ladipo is among one of those people who believes the story is reeks of entitlement and privilege. She took to micro-blogging platform Twitter to explain her view on the well-celebrated move Paddy made by saying his father name ” Adenuga ” got him where he is, and she asked that he accept it.
See the thread below:
‘How could a 29-year-old Nigerian have found himself in a position to buy Chevron’s business in the Netherlands?’
With his fathers influence Dumbass
And he probably wasn’t wondering how but why, especially since we all assumed you were a lazy bum— Young Billionaire (@shadeladipo) February 1, 2018
It’s amazing how being an entrepreneur is considered so cool that everybody and their rich son now want to add it their story
But as shallow as his article is, Ive heard some people say LBS should use it as a Case Study and I laugh in Chinese— Young Billionaire (@shadeladipo) February 1, 2018
Having an advantage and making headway doesn’t make you less an entrepreneur but pls try not to pay yourself on the back
Consider yourself lucky & pay it forward— Young Billionaire (@shadeladipo) February 1, 2018
This is not beef oh because studies have shown that children born in wealth hardly ever make their own legacy
It’s just laughable how no one can see through the rubbish
Take away every Access he has & I posit to you Paddy Adenuga could not have achieved anything he did
End— Young Billionaire (@shadeladipo) February 1, 2018
That my friend is what is called Entitlement

Naaa the legacy is their benchmark, never for them
We don’t want them to be Paddys now do we— Young Billionaire (@shadeladipo) February 1, 2018
Think about the resources he had access & explain to me why he thought it was a story worth telling to anyone
— Young Billionaire (@shadeladipo) February 1, 2018
Honesty I was chocking with disgust so much that I couldn’t finish it
The article isn’t for me, maybe for his buddies from Military Academy or his HNI friends
My reality & his totally different— Young Billionaire (@shadeladipo) February 1, 2018
You’re probably right but I would be under no illusions that I achieved it because I was somehow Smart or such a genius
Acknowledge your privilege is all I’m saying
If he had done that, we wouldn’t have that article in the first place IMO— Young Billionaire (@shadeladipo) February 1, 2018
Attempt lol
He is still attempting
He mentioned them, he didn’t acknowledge them
Acknowledging them would not have him asking some questions I saw in the article
Anyway let me gaaan create my own legacy & leave Paddy Waddy— Young Billionaire (@shadeladipo) February 1, 2018
