In less down a month in cinema, Disney/Marvel blockbuster movie, Black Panther hit $1billion worldwide at the box office, becoming highest ever gross-selling superhero origin story of all-time.
However, the movie is still on a mission to unseat ” The Dark Knight ” as the highest-grossing superhero movie centered on just one hero. (The Avengers still remains highest-grossing superhero movie ever.)
However, Black Panther is 16th Disney‘s film that will reach billion-dollar milestone, while ranked as
Marvel universe film to do so after The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, and Captain America: Civil War.
Disney said Saturday they expect Black Panther to surpass $500 million in international takings this weekend “bolstered by an impressive debut in its final market, China.”

That being said, Black Panther is still a monumental success and surely has Disney executives cheering “Wakanda Forever.”
