Former FC Porto defensive midfielder and Portuguese international Costinha revealed the biggest secret about Cristiano Ronaldo which will stun all football lovers around the world.
The ex-international Costinha, who is member of the FC Porto‘s 2004 Champion League winner reportedly says that only a jealous person won’t like his ex-teammate at the national team Cristiano Ronaldo considering his progress in football.
Cristiano Ronaldo is regarded as one of the greatest players of all-time in the world, following his achievements in the game with Lionel Messi his only biggest rival. Several times, Ronaldo has been criticized for his anger towards teammates most especially on the pitch when they fail to give the passes he wants.
According to the report on Goal, Costinha revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo has been striving to be the best since he was young which has helped him to the current level. Costinha added that Ronaldo is the type of player who does not like missing chances whenever he is playing for his club and country.
He played with Ronaldo in the Portuguese national team for the Euro 2004 and the 2006 World Cup.
“He benefited a lot from Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, and that team made him more aggressive.
”It taught him when to dribble and when to pass the ball. Still, his belief was so strong that he would rise up the ranks.
“It isn’t possible not to love Ronaldo unless you are jealous. He is humble and I am happy for the success he had today. I saw him work to become the best and I am Portuguese, so he makes me proud,” Costinha explained.
